At the beginning it feels great. The momentum helps you propel forward and you begin to move towards what you want. At some point, however, you will hit a roadblock and it will be time for you to make a decision. Most of the time it is a decision you don’t want to make but you have to do it anyway 🍳🍩

You can’t keep doing what you’re doing, exactly the way you’re doing and expect your life to change on its own. One way or another, you will have to stop doing certain things or restrict your time in certain ways. It could be something small like going to bed early on a Saturday night or something bigger like cutting out Soda from your diet. While this might bother you, it is important to realize that you have immense power with that choice. These decisions allow you to choose what you want and give you the power to change your life in incredible ways ☀️

Bench press:⁣
Once my strongest lift among the big 3 lifts, now it has taken a back seat after more focus on Deadlift and Squats. Here are the videos on my current PR attempts.⁣

Video1: 104kg, successful attempt. This is now my PR in bench press (previous best was 115kg)⁣

Video2: 110kg, unsuccessful. I thought I had it untill the final push.⁣
⁣
Things to keep in mind while going for heavy bench press:⁣
⁣
📌Always have a spotter to unrack the bar, no matter how strong you are, don't bench heavy without a spotter⁣
⁣
📌Take a deep breath and hold it after you unrack the bar⁣
⁣
📌While attempting a PR, ask your spotter to touch/support the bar only if you cannot lift it anymore. Unnecessary spotting may spoil your momentum and most importantly that will not be counted as your PR⁣

5 tips for summer shredding

I would talk out of my ass and constantly throw out my two cents because I wanted to look good in the eyes of others. I felt the need to show off what I had done. I had so few self-proclaimed wins that I felt the need to share those wins with someone. I wanted to look good to them. I needed to look good to them. I was in need of approval. And that comes from insecurity. I was insecure and I didn’t want others to know. I had to get real with myself and shut the hell up. I call it peacocking. I would fluff myself up to look good and it was all a facade. I was loud, obnoxious and a know it all because I needed to look good and garner attention. And it was all bullshit.⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s simple, we have to be comfortable with ourselves. But it isn’t easy. Those who are comfortable and confident with themselves don’t seek the attention and approval of others. If they get it, cool. If they don’t get it, cool. Either way, it doesn’t matter. That confident person doesn’t put their self-worth in the eyes of others. They’re free. I admire that. What I have or what I’ve done doesn’t define the confidence that I possess or show. I have to be centered during chaos as well as during hard times. Embrace the uncomfortable situations. If I’m the uneducated one during a conversation…. Good. That gives me a wonderful opportunity to learn and get better. The best swallow their pride, shut up, and learn.

This is a very common mistake when being new to the gym environment because people tend to be impatient and this is due to people comparing themselves to others and wondering why they don’t look like their favourite IG model or Fitness Influencer... News flash, your favourite influencer in this industry is likely to have been training for 10+ years and a good 70% of the most followed fitness influencers on insta are using performance enhancing drugs or have been for a number of years in order to make this ‘crazy fast progress bro’

My advice? 
Focus on you and your journey, as long as you’re working to make sure you’re better than you were yesterday you’re on the right track💪🏻

Quick tip ✅: Before you shoot a video you need to get your angles + lighting right , I just add small shoulder workout within my push day as my shoulders are my dominant body part which I am just trying to maintain while everything catches up to chase aesthetics 💪🏻

Inverted crunches are incredible for really building that mind to muscle connection with your abs and obliques. 🔥

I find that the inverted crunches really work the obliques SUPER well 👌 The other two ab exercises I highly recommend are the hanging leg raise and side to side bent knee ups. 💯

I recommend 3 straight sets for 10-15 reps for each of these exercises. Once you build up 3 sets of 15 reps on all three of these exercises in the same workout, you will have a STRONG and SHREDDED 6 pack. 🔥

For anyone trying to lose fat, the simplest approach is to systematically reduce the amount of calories you are consuming over time. However, the problem with this approach is that as you keep reducing your food intake, your metabolism rapidly slowly down as an evolutionary defense mechanism ⚔️
