#mtmonadnock • ⛰ Today was a solid day! Legs starting to feel good, decided to test first with a weighted hike up monadnock wearing a 20lbs weight vest and 5lbs ankle weight each leg , and looks like I nailed the right time to be there, perfect view with clear skies and cool temps! (2hrs of hike, 3.8 miles, 1,991ft elevation gain). Came down, fueled up quick and ran back up and down on it without the weights and almost beat my current fastest time there of 57min by doing 59min this time (if wasn’t for all soaked smooth rocks that got covered with the rain on my way up I’m sure I would of had a new PR) , another 3.8 miles and 1,900ft elevation gain! Looking forward getting those goat legs strong for Loon mountain in July! 🐐 #runnersofinstagram#goat#mountainview

✨ LISTEN TO YOUR BODY ✨⠀
A simple phrase that everyone knows but barely ever follows...including myself! ⠀
Recently, I’ve been on the go, running around like a crazy person and honestly been putting so much pressure on myself for the past couple of weeks. Friday morning came around and I woke up with a high fever, bleeding nose and terrible cough but I thought this will go away it’s nothing. When I told @kelly.gomez_ how I was feeling she told me to STOP and REST...”sounds like you are pushing to much and your body is saying rest please”. ⠀
This meant NO training, NO social media and NO work! 😬⠀
It wasn’t until she actually put it in perspective that I figured out I wasn’t listening to my body at all! A couple days before Friday, I had the sniffles, mild sore throat and felt quite lethargic BUT I kept pushing through instead of giving my body what it needed a break. This past weekend, I spent majority of the day in bed sleeping and on Monday morning woke up feeling 1000 times better! 🤗⠀
Did I regret my decision in resting and taking care of my body? 🤔⠀
Absolutely not! ⠀
Moral of the story: Listen to your body - the aches, the sniffles, the huge mental change...well basically EVERYTHING! Then decide does my body need me to rest, eat more nutritious foods, additional recovery time from workouts, unfollowing Instagram accounts that make me feel crap etc! ⠀
Once you truely listen to your body, you will notice the change and impact it will have on your life 🌸⠀

Last year, we went to Punta Cana in May and Cancun in October. Armando LOVES Cancun and wants to go again. (We go every year) 😅 He says, when he retires he’s going to move to Cancun. 🤣 #bye LOL! We plan on booking our summer vacation by the end of this month & I can’t wait!🏝 I know this post might be all over the place, but I really want to talk about body shame. This pic was of me on our first vacation as a couple. I lost all the weight I gained during training and STILL, i felt like i wasn’t “fit” enough. I was insecure and self conscious. I was obsessed with low carb diets && obsessed with being a size 1. Truth is, I will NEVER be a size 0, 1, or even 3. I am naturally curvy, I always have been. It doesn’t matter what the scale says or what size clothes I wear. My size and appearance doesn’t define me. Nothing looks as good as healthy feels. 🌱💗

(Story part 7) Feels appropriate to tell you the ending of the story on this shot. The road that hopefully leads somewhere 🙈. So I went back to Germany (was on holiday in my hometown), did all the thinking, edited one of my best shots and videos to date, started an internship (next to my paid job and university😅) at a video studio, helped make ads for Audi, had the most stressful months of my life, made it to the trip with my family and told them I want to open my own business as a videographer (and photographer on the side). They've never seen me so happy to start something in their life and I never felt so motivated ever in my life.
