Since really working to get a handle on my weight and health I’ve watched a TON of documentaries and read a stack of books trying to understand food and what is best to eat. Many were more ANTI-MEAT, and ANTI-CARB /SUGAR and were in my opinion meant to SCARE than to inform. One ☝🏾 documentary STOOD OUT and really helped me in the food department. Honestly I now live my the words of the author / producer of the film IN THE DEFENSE OF FOOD , @michael.pollan. He says I’m in 7 simple words ... “ Eat food... not too much , mostly PLANTS 🌱. “ So that’s what I do now and it has worked the best for me. I’m not 100% VEGAN or VEGETARIAN ( yet ) . But I eat meat sparingly and mostly socially or traveling. I try to focus on eating REAL FOOD and stay away from anything processed. I no longer stuff myself and eat TOO MUCH. And I keep it MOSTLY plant 🌱 based for breakfast , lunch or dinner. I snack on the same things most times... fruit, veggies & nuts. I’m super excited about the SIMPLY FIT brand plant based snacks that switch things up for me and my family. And Water is my drink of choice at EVERY meal. A few things changed in a span of 5 months training with Adam Faris...these photos are about 5 months apart. Left photo was like the first time I ever lifted a barbell in September for a deadlift and the right side was this past February. I remember watching him with the barbell thinking I will never be able to do that or carry one on my own around the room lol. Wonder what the difference would be now that it is June!! Sometimes it feels like nothing changes or after eating horribly one day you feel like you are back to where you started...but these photos show a girl who gained muscle definition and leaned out.

Just finished my first chest workout in over a month, been avoiding it to ensure my shoulder was healthy. 
Tried arching my back slightly by locking my shoulder blades together. Now I can say I'm a firm believer in the arch after doubting it for so long. Easily gives more pump to your chest and ensure low risk to your shoulders.

Routine:

Incline bench press x 6
Flat bench press x 6
Incline db press x 4
Flat db press x 4
Incline db flyes x 4
Flat db flyes x 4
Machine chest press x 3
Machine chest flyes x 6

🔥 Shoulder Tips 🔥

1. Over head movements - Focus movements such as Military Press, DB Shoulder Press, Arnold Press
2. Lateral Movements - Lateral Raises with Dumbbells or Cables. Don’t be afraid to go heavy as long as you’re performing the exercise properly.
3. Rear Delts - Rear Delt Rows, Reverse Pec Dec Machine, Reverse DB Fly
4. Don’t be afraid to add in Lateral Raises or another movement on a Leg Day or your last workout of the week. Personally I do lateral raises 3x a week to bring up my shoulders.
