Today I’m sharing 2 of my favourite ways to feel a straight line. Belly to wall is scary but such a great medicine to get out of that banana 🍌😊 The wall will guide you into shape! If you are afraid, do it first with a spotter! Aim for walking your hands one foot away from the wall. •Feet flexed
•legs squeezed together
•ribcage towards the pubic bone
•extension through the shoulders
•gently gaze towards the hands
•activate finger tips
As you can see, straight line is such a complex shape. Start with focusing on 2 actions, once they become natural in your practice and they don’t take energy to do and think about, then add another 2. And keep going! Second variation with the head in is more advanced as it needs even bigger shoulder extension but you have the ability to check out your entire shape which can help correcting misalignments.

Are you getting enough fibre?
Following on from my last post about the keto diet I thought it was important to talk about the importance of fibre which is part of the carbohydrate family
The current Government guideline for fibre consumption is 30g day. On average, UK adults are only consuming around 18g of fibre (60% of the recommended value) each day. If your current intake is below the Governments recommendation, then you may want to gradually increase this by eating foods that are high in fibre.
Foods rich in fibre:
* Starchy foods such as porridge, oats, wholegrain breads pasta and rice, potatoes with skin on
* Beans and pulses
* A variety of vegetables such as broccoli, green beans, carrots, and sweetcorn
* A variety of fruits such as banana, blackberries, and apples
* Nuts and seeds such as almonds, chia seeds
* Increase your fruit and vegetable intake aiming towards five 80g portions a day. An easy way to do this is by adding fruit to your porridge, cereal or toast in the morning
* Aim for a variety of plant based foods for example add beans to your homemade soups or curries
* Leave the skin on your vegetables and potatoes, not only does this make vegetable preparation easier, it helps towards your fibre intake
* Keep hydrated; remember to drink the recommended 6-8 cups of water each day to help the fibre do its job
Fibre and gut health:
Fibre is an essential nutrient for the normal functioning of the gut. Studies show that if we have an extra 7g fibre per day (if we are aiming for 30g / day) it can be associated with significant reduction in the risk of diseases such as reduced risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and bowel cancer. Fibre can also help with digestion, the NHS state that around 40% of people in the UK have at least one digestive issue at one time, whether that be abdominal pain, heartburn, or indigestion.

The real me ❤
I used to carry so much shame in my womb. I lived in London and everything was about being the best, being the best business women, having the best physique, serving my client but at what cost?
I burnt out in December of 2016 and set up my business online. I was exhausted and experiencing so many really intense emotions, depression, shame, sadness, a feeling of not belonging and I really didn't feel good enough.
It's been a huge journey to where I'm at now. Of course I still plan on being successful but it's coming from I AM ENOUGH! It's so empowering when we take the time to love on ourselves.
What I did to process and feel amazing inside and therefore outside. ❤ I did a lot of full moon forgiveness and letting go rituals. ❤ I invested in coaching and healing. ❤ I connected with my body and felt the emotions that needed clearing. ❤ I connected with nature a lot and spent quality time with loved ones. ❤ I danced and expressed my soul more and more. ❤ I meditation and connected with the energy that creates world.

Asana and pranayama help bring the mind and body together to create a balanced whole being that nourishes, supports, and loves itself.
We need to teach our children to find home and peace within themselves. We are patterned to think we have to find a partner we can rely on for support, emotional or otherwise. But we don’t have to! We have everything we need. That is why I love yoga so much. It has taught me I am all I need. I support and care for myself the way I would want someone else to.
