✨38 WEEKS✨ the last couple of days I’ve woken up in a funk 🌀 - the kind that if and when you let it linger it just festers and gets worse. navigating through these last days i haven’t been the most successful. Instead of trying to control all aspects how you’re feeling & “getting over it” sometimes I’m better off just sitting with the feeling of being burnt out. exhausted mentally. and slowing letting my mind work through it 🙏🏻 One thing for sure, I’m really going to miss this belly and all the kicks and her jabs but I’m really excited to meet her 👧🏼💘🥰

This was our little welcome basket in our room - some local fruits and treats, and a plumeria flower.
There are plumerias EVERYWHERE here, and while before I only knew them from the classic (and repulsive) Bath & Bodyworks scent, I've quickly become completely enamoured of them. They had them all over our room too, and they have a few different colors here that I will try and photograph tomorrow.
The spikey fruits at the bottom ate rambutan, which I've seen before but hadn't ever tried and they are VERY tasty. I haven't really mastered the art of eating them (there's a large pit inside that has sort of a fibrous outer layer that sticks to the fruit) but I'm going to get some interweb assistance and figure this out. The round guys are honey tangerines, which I haven't eaten yet but am about to. And I may even try the banana. Bananas are big here - apparently there are about 20 different varieties here in Thailand and I can't possibly hate them all, right?
After yesterday’s miserable weather (we almost lit a fire last night!), such a joy to be out in the garden picking greengages. Our tree only produced two (!) fruit last year - it was strangled by ivy and in terrible shade thanks to a conifer that could be seen from outer space. Tree surgeon gave it some TLC and removed conifer. Greengages aplenty this year. Tall husband currently up step ladder getting the ones I can’t reach. I have jammin’ plans for this afternoon.

Here you can see all fruit has different macros, calories & sugar. Sugar from fruit has the same metabolic result as from chocolate. But the combination of sugar & fibre makes it more likely to satisfy your hunger and it is more nutritious!
Shortbread biscuits have the highest calories and party rings have the lowest! Sure there are more nutritious snacks, but what is life without tea and biscuits..! Any good can be enjoyed as part of a well balanced diet🤜🤛
An array of low calorie options can easily fit into most diets regularly with relative caloric insignificance. Ice creams that are calorie dense can as well be enjoyed depending on total energy intake.
In terms of calories, white bread is similar to wholemeal & rye. Therefore, you won’t necessarily manage weight better by consuming brown, despite it being less refined. The key difference=fibre.
Protein dense. As you can see, there are lower calorie options for the same or greater protein value.

🥞 PANCAKES 🥞
Thick and fluffy sweet potato nut butter pancakes 🥰 🥞👉🏻 ¼ cup coconut flour • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice • ¼ teaspoon b.s. • 2 tbsp. nut butter • 2 eggs, slightly beaten • 1 egg white, beaten stiff • ½ tbsp. maple syrup (sub any sweetener) • 3 tbsp. sweet potato • 3 tbsp almond milk. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In separate bowl, stir nut butter, eggs, maple syrup and sp. Slowly stir in almond milk. Add dry ingredients to wet, then let batter sit for a couple minutes. Cook up your cakes!

We are so fortunate to live in a climate that is cold enough to grow apples and berries but warm enough to grow citrus, until I joined the Instagram gardening community I never knew how lucky we were. These tasty Lemonades are growing happily right next to a patch of summer fruiting raspberries, which need a good winter chill to form berries the following season, while the citrus trees can suffer enormously if it gets too frosty, it is the perfect balance.
These are our sweet and juicy Lemonade fruit, they may look similar to a regular lemon but instead of being sour they are oh so sweet, so sweet in fact the children eat them fresh straight from our tree.

Zucchini Oats (1 – 2 Portionen) 🥒
1 kleine Zucchini (180 g)
60 g Haferflocken
40 g Schoko Proteinpulver (alternativ 2 EL Kakao)
250 ml Milch (bei mir: Cashewmilch)
125 ml Wasser
1 EL Cashewbutter (oder Erdnussbutter)
1-2 EL Ahornsirup
Beeren, Nüsse usw.
Zucchini waschen und an der Röstiraffel fein reiben. Milch, Wasser, Haferflocken und Schokoproteinpulver in einen Topf geben und unter Rühren erwärmen. Zucchini dazugeben und bei mittlerer Hitze für ca. 7 Minuten köcheln lassen, dabei gelegentlich umrühren.
Von der Hitze nehmen, Cashewbutter und Ahornsirup unterrühren und den Porridge kurz ziehen lassen. In einer Schale anrichten und nach Belieben garnieren.
